The Bonus Night is something I genuinely look forward to every year.

I look forward to it because it is different than any other coaches clinic you’re going to attend. This is the best coaches sharing their favorite drills & routines they use with the belt and their pitchers. No podium and lectern here – the coaches are actually coaching!

The Pitch-a-Palooza 2021 Core Velocity Bonus Night was more than two and half hours of top coaches sharing their best ideas from years of experience. Bonus Night presenters include:

Jimmy lays out how he uses the belt with his pitching staff at JMU. He works through his system, so you can see the progression and how ideas and drills build & relate. Better yet – Jimmy, and all the pitching guys who spoke, had pitchers demonstrating the drills. You get to see him implement and coach the drill!

Ethan shares some of his main drills that he uses with the belt… the same drills he has used to help advance the careers of MLB’s 2019 breakout star Lucas Giolito, 2021’s breakout star Carlos Rodón, and now 2022’s breakout star Dylan Cease.

Jon gives his fundamental movements and drills that he uses with his junior college pitchers. If you’re relatively new to the belt and looking for an easy way to get going that will give you maximum results for the time invested – Jon’s talk is for you.

I love speaking at the Bonus Night because I can really get in the weeds with guys. My talks are always an open forum style. I love getting to hear what coaches do with the belt, the struggles they encounter, gaps in their knowledge that they are looking to fill, and help with anything from simple, one-off troubleshooting to digging in on some big ideas.

And, the Bonus to the Bonus Night is getting to hear Hunter talk. If you’re a hitting guy, or have hopes of being one for your son, you simply have to hear Hunter talk. (The secret is that it’s not only about hitting) Hunter will change the way you view player development, I promise.
