If actions become reactions then wouldn’t anything after the first movement in pitching mechanics be a reaction to a previous movement, similar to dominos?  

The reason this kid didn’t throw hard enough was on purpose. He just didn’t realize it yet. I had a kid fly out a weekend ago from Texas. His Dad explained how he was losing confidence and motivation to keep playing so he thought he’d give it one last chance.

How would you like to increase your chances of getting hitters out without increasing your velocity?  Instead, you focused on the velocity in-between pitches.

As a pitching society, pitchers want more. They want the ‘good stuff’ but sadly, most are struggling with the basics. And if you’re familiar with pitching mechanics at any level, you understand that the slightest change results in MAJOR changes later in the delivery. 

The entire model baseball today is built to empower coaches, and science.  It revolves around tangible evidence, proof. Anything which can’t be measured, doesn’t matter.  We too often mistake information as communication.  We fail to realize information is only as powerful as the interpretation.
